Plants absorb water from the soil and release it in the form of water vapour throgh the process of transpiration . Deforestation leads to cutting down of the trees . As a result less water is absorbed from the soil. This disturbs the water cycle and leads to reduced rainfall.

With the help of process of transpiration trees become a source of help causing rainfall . This is how deforestation leads to reduced rainfall.
